love and sacrifice by parents desiring a Christian education for their
children. In 1943, two years after the
In 1947, the church members were saving money to build a new
church. However, they soon realized how important the school was and voted
instead to use that money for a two-room cinder block school. Those classrooms
were built through hours of labor by the church members—particularly

By 1953, the enrollment had grown so parents rallied together to
add a third classroom and a third teacher. In 1956, the present gymnasium was
built and finally, in 1964 the three-story brick structure, housing the
library, offices and ten classrooms, was constructed. In the fall of 1997, the
parsonage on the adjoining property was renovated, renamed Vandeman Hall, and
is now part of our educational facility.
We are very proud of our school today.

Leading the way, so that others might

Strong Christian Emphasis. We are committed to make Christ central
in all our activities. Each person associated with our school strives to
reflect the love of Jesus to each student and treats others with Christian
kindness and respect. We want to instill in our students the desire to have
Jesus as their best friend. We encourage them to do their personal best in all
things for Him, to reach out to the community to improve our world, and to live
eternally with Him.
Outstanding Academic Program. We are dedicated to providing our
students with curricula that challenges them to reach their full potential in
the pursuit of excellence and to think, rather than reflect others thoughts.
Our Biblically-based curriculum incorporates Christ into all that we teach. Our
teachers are skilled Christian professionals who use a variety of teaching
methods and styles to enhance the learning process. We continually upgrade our
curricula and equipment to provide our students with education which is
relevant in today’s society.
Quality Physical Fitness and Fine Arts Opportunities. We believe in the development of the
whole person. Our school provides opportunities for students in areas which are
not strictly academic in nature. Physical development is achieved through our
physical education program, which includes diverse sports activities. Our music
program is directed by accomplished and experienced instructors who lead our
children to discover their musical gifts through music education classes as
well as a variety of choir and instrumental groups and instruction. Appreciation
of the fine arts is strengthened by instruction in art and drama.
Committed Parents and Constituency. We operate in partnership with parents,
church, and community to offer a full educational experience to our students.
We encourage the participation of volunteers, recognizing their importance in
the process of educating and guiding our students.
Appealing School Environment. We provide a clean, healthy environment for our students. They
respect the campus, accept responsibility for it, and extend that
responsibility toward all of God’s creation.
Responsible fiscal management. We are committed to offer affordable Christian education
while maintaining our excellent academic and extracurricular programs. We
recognize our need for future expansion and are dedicated to developing and
expanding our financial support for operating expenses and capital
improvements.
Believing that God is always faithful
to those who honor and follow Him, we resolutely include Him and His will in
all our plans.
