Spencerville To Help Puerto Rico

As a result of the devastation caused by recent hurricanes, millions of people across Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands have no water, no food, no power, no phone service and no homes. This is a humanitarian disaster involving 3.5 million US citizens. They are in need of water, food, gasoline and money. Hospitals are running out of medical supplies and food. Only 21 out of 69 hospitals have power or fuel. The elderly and babies are most vulnerable. Power is expected to be out for months. Many communities have been isolated from the outside world, relying only on radio for news. This lack of communication makes it exceptionally difficult to respond to disaster. The locals are desperate, saying it is far worse than we can imagine.

What is the best way to help? There are three ways you can help.
